We are alive!!

I finally have the time, and the want, to sit down and blog.

We arrived at our new home safely and the trip went so much better than I ever expected! Trevor hardly cried at all on the way out which was wonderful. He was such a good traveler. Everyone has settled in nicely, including the cat (thanks for trying though Vic lol). The house is really nice, the neighborhood is ok, our landlord is great, and we are pretty happy with where we are.

Memorial Day weekend was last weekend (duh) and our good friends John and Lisa made a little drive down to spend a couple of days with us. They brought their two year old little girl and she and Trevor got along better than expected. She wanted to play Mommy with him and help him stand up which ticked him off to no end and he tried to steal anything and everything she was eating out of her hand which made her SO mad, but other than that they did great! LOL It was fun to watch them together and nice to spend time with old friends.

We blew up the Frog Pool for the kiddos on Sunday.

Trevor didn't want in the pool because the water was so cold, but he loved the sprinkler!

The next day we converted the pool into a mini ball pit but still hooked up the sprinkler part and they had a great time with that too. John and Lisa's little girl got quite upset with Trevor because he thought it was great fun to throw all the balls out one by one. She would go get them and say "NO NO BABY! NO NO!". It was hilarious!

All in all, we're settling in quite nicely. We like it here. :)

Not Me! Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This is my first time playing along with MckMama on Not Me! Monday, but it looks like a ton of fun and who couldn't use free therapy? So here goes....

I certainly did not eat an entire box of chocolate chip cookies all by myself in less than twenty four hours. And if I had, I would not have followed up by finishing off the last two of Josh's double chocolate jumbo muffins. I did not have the slightest bit of a sweet tooth this week and I now am not afraid to step on the scale. Nope. Not me!

I certainly did not have to dig my car keys out of the toilet Friday. My keys could never end up in the toilet. I know where my keys, and especially my super quick, newly walking baby is at all times.

I also did not feed my baby the apple slices and grapes out of a McDonalds Fruit and Walnut salad for breakfast Thursday morning because there was no fresh fruit in the house and I was too lazy to go to the grocery store. I would never spend 3 bucks on half an apple and a handful of grapes. Not me!

And lastly, I certainly did not get to sleep in on Mothers Day morning. Sleeping in is not something that I find a luxury these days. And I did not forget to take my camera with me while we visited with family. I did not have a wonderful first Mothers Day with my oh-so-gorgeous husband and my beautiful baby boy.

Nope. Not me!

So, What did you not do this week?

I Really Need to Get it Together!

I am just one royal mess today. I finally caught P.S. I Love You on HBO (the movie that Ashley and Vicki tried to get me to watch while I was pregnant...but I refused because I KNEW this would happen and with pregnancy hormones OMG). Worst best movie ever. Seriously. I cried through the whole damn thing and haven't stopped crying since. *Sigh*

Of course it doesn't help that I am waiting on MY wonderful husband to come home today. Or that I'm sick and feeling like crap already. Or that my house is as much of a mess as I am. Or that Trevor has been a blur of giggles and toddles and it breaks my heart just as much as it makes me proud that he is growing up.

I HATE sappy movies.

Have I ever told you that Josh bought the movie City of Angels off of Ebay, because he couldn't find it anywhere, just for the sake of seeing me cry at the end? (I didn't by the way. He was crushed.) LOL

So, I sit here...blogging about nothing...waiting for Trev to wake up from his nap...thinking of all the things that I should be doing instead of this...crying over a stupid movie that just ruined my whole day.

Can you believe that this adorable little man is already almost 9 months old?

I can't.

I just want to squish him and make him stay little forever.

Hanging Around

In case you haven't caught on yet....we're still at home. For now. We should be will be leaving after Mothers Day Weekend. Until then, we're just hanging out here at home, listening to the frogs sing and waiting on Josh to come home and take us away with him!

Today, Trevor and I took advantage of the wonderful, rain-free weather and played outside for a good chunk of the afternoon. He is barely crawling at all anymore, obviously preferring to take every opportunity to practice his mad walking skillz.

Then when we came inside he showed off how smart he is while playing with his Busy Ball Popper (which is, by the way, one of the coolest annoying-hunk-of-plastic toys we own).

Good Times.

*Trevor is 8 months, 2 weeks and 6 days old*
