Toothless Smiles

I woke up this morning to the sweetest sight in the whole entire world--a gorgeous baby boy looking me right in the eye. I gave my usual "good morning baby boy" greeting and was rewarded with the most precious baby smile I have ever seen! If there were a Cutest-Baby-Smile Olympics, Trevor would be the gold medalist, I'm sure of it. He's been practicing this great new milestone for a couple of days now, but today has been the best yet. I've been greeted with a smile at waking, every diaper change, every meal and at some points in between-I think he's got it mastered.

He's also been napping today (hence I was able to work on putting up this blog) which is an absolute God-send. Smiling so much must make a baby very tired. We're quickly learning that he doesn't want to miss a thing by sleeping during the day, which makes for a very cranky baby at night. Today has been nice, and he's obviously much happier for it.

I've been thinking of putting up a blog for a week or two now, but haven't found the time. There is so much going on day to day that I feel like I need to write it all down. Time is precious lately though and I can definately type faster than I can write so blogging seemed to be the obvious answer. And if I'm going to spend time typing it all out, I might as well share it with everyone right? SO here I am. Enjoy!

I managed to catch one of Trevor's very first bonafide (as in not gas) smiles on my phone. Yes I know the noise I'm making is incredibly annoying (you might want to turn your speakers down) but I'd make that noise all day if it got the same response!

The quality of this video has also reminded me that we desperately need to get a video camera!

*Trevor is 1 month and 5 days old*
